Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh

We saw the movie "The Pursuit Of Happyness" over the weekend so I was going to write about success. How working hard and having a desire to succeed can lead to great things.

But today I am not sure I believe that.

So instead I thought I would share something funny - hilariously funny actually. Bring tears to your eyes funny.

Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Hilarious. I wonder about the sub-titles though. Would such an English joke, spoken by a Dane, still sound funny in Dutch. My proficiency in the nederlands is small, but even I noticed a lot of the gags were skipped over.

Still, most nederlanders I've met speak better english than I.

My wife thought the sub-titles were odd as well as this really seemed to be difficult to try and translate. I honestly didn't give it a thought (how ethnocentric is that...)

On the same topic, I watched "Dances with Wolves" when it first came out in a cinema in Amsterdam. The film was in English and sub-titled for the Dutch audience. Unfortunately the passages in the Souix language were also sub-titled in Dutch, so I missed about 45% of the story. It was only when I saw the film on home that I understood the title
