Heard the new Counting Crows song this morning and it turns out that it is streaming from their website as well. I know I'm a bit late with the news but figured others might be as well. I don't like the autoplay guys but I'll give you a pass this one time.Be sure to also grab the Digital 45 Featuring "1492" and "When I Dream of Michelangelo" from the site as well. Listening now and give all three a hearty My Thermos recommendation.
Counting Crows is one of those bands that I don't necessarily think of when I think of my favorite bands, but when I look at what I listen to - they are right up at the top. The new single is great and I'm looking forward to the new album Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings set for release on March 25th.
On a side note, think it's hilarious that Geffen uses an affiliate link on the official site when sending folks to Amazon and iTunes to buy the new single. Talk about double dipping. I've always resisted using affiliate links for stuff like this but if they can do it... what do you all think?
Cheers!

I'm quite stoked for new Crows, and hopefully several chances to see them live in the next couple years.
The 25th cannot get here fast enough!
I've only seen them once but was impressed. I need to really increase the collection of live stuff - I know it's out there.
I knew you would be psyched - it was your link to Adam's blog that got me reading that.
Thanks

I think they are a deceptively good band - they just sort of sneak up on you and you end up liking them without even realizing it.

I love Jellyfish - Spilt Milk certainly ranks among my top albums, just amazing.
Thanks for the comment and the visit

And they are playing close to where I live soon...... OH JOY!
Glad to the bearer of good news - this sort of slipped under my radar as well so thought I should share. Didn't know they announced a tour though
< runs off to check the tour schedu...
to be a new one!
I'm going to listen up. Thanks!!

I was lucky to see them once, but I was really surprised that they were opening up for John Mayer.
As for the affiliate link, I think that's great. I was under the impression that bands don't make much off of the CD sales.
When I saw The Crows the Wallflowers opened for them but a John Mayer show sounds good. An opening set probably meant a shorter show though
It didn't occur to me that the money from the affiliate link was going to the band but rather the label, but I guess it could be working that way.
Good to see you around here - don't be a stranger.

I haven't been doing well at keeping up on my feeds for a little while, but I've been making sure to visit here before I look at any of the others.
That would have been a good show, I like the Wallflowers. I wasn't such a fan of Mayer at the time.
crowstown.com
is very cool that they allow the taping / trading of the live shows - love when bands do that.

I've gotten a bunch of stuff from hypem.com
