Jeff Healey 1966-2008

Guitarist Jeff Healy died on Sunday at the age of 41 after a long battle with cancer. I've admired his playing since seeing him live opening for Bonnie Raitt at Red Rocks circa 1990.

It is always sad when strings are silenced. RIP Jeff.

Yeah - and it seems he was ready to launch a new album and tour. A real talented guy for sure.

He did another Hiatt cover too I think - I'll have to look it up.
