I Pick Clark's Picks

Regular readers of My Thermos will know that I love me some youtube for the musical treasures that can be found there. I'll occasionally post a video that catches my eye and enjoy spending some (way too much) time browsing through the archives there.

The problem with that though is that for every treasure, there is some crappy 18 second clip recorded on a cell phone by someone who thinks the world will cease to exist if I don't see their muddy nausea inducing clip they took from 200 yards away.

Sorry, I digress.

So distilling all that is available to just the stuff that's good can be difficult. That's why I was thrilled to discover Clark's Picks on Entrecard. Clark seems to have the same feelings about youtube that I do

One day I was cruising YouTube, playing videos of various guitarists and I said to my wife " I'm just amazed that I can be sitting here watching Doc Watson's fingers for free." It dawned on me that it would be a valuable service to share these gems with other people.

Right - but he finds much cooler stuff than I do. Duke Ellington, Joe Pass, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, fantastic stuff really.

Check it out - it's well worth the time you'll spend there, and the journey it will take you on with the related clips and such. I'd block out a couple of hours.

No problem Clark - am always looking out for good musical resources for my readers and it was a no brainer to point them to your site. Very cool stuff there.

I had just made the offer, on another blog I write, to give a review on that site to anyone who reviewed Clark's Picks on theirs. I will be posting a review of My Thermos on http://rotus.wordpress.com when I get a handle on what to say about tis blog. It should take me a few days to digest.

No need to do it but if you feel it worthy that's cool. I know I have trouble describing the mixed-bag that is My Thermos, am eager to see what your thoughts are.
