I’ve stumbled across an insanely useful web app recently that is really helping me stay organized and be more productive. As a small business owner, it is often difficult to juggle all of the tasks that need to be done.
I have never been a big proponent of GTD but I am finding that making a list of tasks really does help me keep it all together. I’ve tried a couple of things but have never really found the end all solution that I was willing to commit to.
So the app is called Toodledo and it really is the best of the bunch – or at least has the best foundation upon which to build.
The thing I like most about the app is that everything is on one screen (I won’t bother to post screenies – click the link and check it out…) and I can modify any aspect of any task without having to click on an edit tab or change screens. It makes the interface intimidating, but it allows for maximum productivity.
One thing I found missing is the lack of a user group or forum. This is an app that people will embrace and use creatively and I want to hear about it, and learn from them.
So I set up an unofficial and independent forum for toodledo users <Edit July ’08 – The Toodledo folks have added their own forums so the unofficial forums are now closed> If you like the app and want to help build a user community – come on by and register to join in.

For implementing GTD you might try out this new web-based application:
http://www.gtdagenda.com
You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use
checklists, schedules and a calendar.
A mobile version is available too.
Hope you like it.
